The Regional Office, Jhansi was established on 30th July 1996, and Major J.P. Singh (Retired) was appointed as the Project Officer. At that time, this office was run from the District Soldier Welfare and Rehabilitation Office, Jhansi. After some time, the office was shifted to Allahabad Bank Chauraha, Civil Lines, and at that time, there were about 142 field staff in the Regional Office, Jhansi. In 2008, the office shifted at 486, Officer Colony, Dhyan Chand Stadium, Sipri Bazaar. Later, through the Jhansi Development Authority, Regional Office was established at this location in the Jhalkari Bai Commercial Complex.
